I am an Assistant Professor of Management Sciences, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Prior to my employment at UW, I spent 2 years as a Postdoctoral Research Officer at the Oxford Martin School and INET, University of Oxford. I hold a Ph.D. in economics from the New School for Social Research.
My research has focused on the applications of Bayesian statistical modeling to a wide range of economic questions including firm-level dynamics of investment, global innovation frontier, and input-output analysis. I am also interested in information-theoretic economic/econometric modeling. My doctoral dissertation is about statistical equilibrium models of technological change and Bayesian estimations of the innovation possibilities frontier. I have published in economics and multidisciplinary journals such as the Journal of Economic Surveys, Economics Systems Research, Entropy, European Physical Journals Special Topics, and Advances in Complex Systems.
