Bio/Research

Maurice Dusseault carries out research in subsurface geomechanics, addressing areas such as geothermal energy and heat storage, compressed air energy storage, CO2 storage, induced seismicity, deep waste sequestration in sedimentary basins, and related rock mechanics issues. The integration of engineering and geoscience is called “geological engineering”, which most closely describes what Maurice is interested in.

Professor Dusseault is a registered professional engineer in Alberta and Ontario. He frequently works with governments and industry as an advisor and instructor. His clear and informative presentations are widely known in professional circles.
